Madison's Foundation Madisons Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality and quantity of information available to parents of children with rare, life-threatening diseases, and to facilitating effective communication amongst parents, physicians and medical experts. Our core value is that information is support. We believe helping parents make informed decisions can alleviate some of the frustration they inevitably experience when fighting for their children's lives.
The Madisons Foundation Rare Disease Research Project enlists UCLA medical students to work with afflicted children, their parents and attending physician specialists to generate accurate – and parent-friendly – data about diseases and available treatments. Developed in conjunction with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, we believe these students are the vanguard of a new generation of physicians who embrace the special challenge of communicating effectively with parents and children.
